About the aircraft: PropairFlight Cheyenne III

The Piper PA-42 Cheyenne III is a pressurized twin-turboprop business aircraft built for high-altitude, all-weather operations. Combining strong performance with sophisticated aircraft systems, it offers the kind of complexity that makes it an ideal aircraft to master in Microsoft Flight Simulator.

Powered by two Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6A-41 turboprop engines, each delivering 720 shaft horsepower, the Cheyenne III operates at altitudes of up to 33,000 feet and has a maximum operating speed of 246 KCAS. With a maximum takeoff weight of 11,200 lb and 560 US gallons of usable fuel capacity, it is designed for demanding executive and commuter operations.

The aircraft features systems that give virtual pilots plenty to learn and manage, including full cabin pressurization, hydraulic landing gear actuation with emergency backup, pneumatic airframe de-icing, engine and propeller ice protection, and an annunciator-driven cockpit.

The PropairFlight Cheyenne III also gives you different ways to experience the aircraft. Choose between passenger transport and dedicated medevac configurations, with six included liveries; three civilian and three authentic medical/medevac schemes.

On the flight deck, you can fly with a modern Garmin G1000 glass cockpit or switch to the classic analog cockpit for a more traditional turboprop experience.

Together with SkyPass, the Cheyenne III becomes more than an aircraft to explore. It becomes an aircraft to learn, practise and master through a structured flight simulator training experience.

About the Skypass Type Rating:

The PropairFlight Cheyenne III aircraft has been developed together with SkyPass Type Rating, creating an integrated aircraft and Microsoft Flight Simulator training experience. The Cheyenne III purchase bundle includes the aircraft itself, which can be used in Microsoft Flight Simulator without any usage limitation or requirement to either use or purchase additional SkyPass credits.

The program was developed using official Cheyenne III material. The structure follows the basic logic of real-world type-rating training but has been adapted specifically for flight simulation.
The theoretical content has been streamlined specifically for flight simulation, while the practical part provides approximately 50 hours of flight training. The objective is not to reproduce every page of a professional course, but to give virtual pilots the knowledge and practice that matter when operating the aircraft.

The training follows the fundamental structure of an IRL type rating: first you build your aircraft knowledge in Ground School, then apply that knowledge through progressively more demanding practical flights. You receive written feedback about your performance, helping you understand what went well, where you deviated from the expected procedure and what you should improve on your next attempt.

During your practical flight missions, SkyPass records performance data from the aircraft. Once the flight is complete, the recorded data is evaluated and processed by an AI-assisted evaluation system. The bundle package also includes sufficient SkyPass credits(100) to complete the course (50 hours flying time) without any additional credit purchase, even if you fail some of your mission throughout the process. Additional credits are optional. We will never force it on our users. As user you may choose to purchase them if you want additional training or practice once they have completed their training course. If a user does not purchase additional credits, this does not restrict their ability to continue flying the Cheyenne III in the simulator.

It turns every training mission into a cycle:
Learn → Fly → Evaluate → Improve → Repeat
Instead of relying only on your own judgement, you get structured feedback designed to help you become more accurate and consistent with every flight.
Whether you want to improve your aircraft handling, understand turboprop operations or simply become a better pilot in MSFS, SkyPass turns learning the Cheyenne III into a structured progression rather than trial and error.
